Eye Candy: Technicolor

For whatever reason I am naturally more inclined and drawn to strong and sophisticated neutrals. Black and white. Black and ink. Caramel and cognac and ebony. Creams and whites. You name it. I think the initial draw comes not only for the sleek and chic visual presentation but in the aesthetic challenge of combining the taboo neutrals in societally unexpected, unanticipated, and shocking methods that clearly disregard "the rulebook" about such. Nevertheless, despite my love affair with "anti colorful" I am equally impassioned by bold, vibrant, saturated hues combined in an equally audacious manner- foregoing the color wheel and "color rules" and muddling together to form hypnotic technicolor glory and, frankly, I find them to be the absolute perfect antidote to a room or outfit of such a refined neutral pallet. The rare ability to combine such wildly unbridled hues in a manner of implicit maturity, tact, and finesse rather than frivolous naivete is a design gem that most certainly should be showcased and awed over. It's that extra oomph...that punch in the face of "{insert strong vocabulary word of your choice} yea!" that is essential to "great design." So, today dear readers, please fawn over these most delightfully delicious and daring displays of color studies and, perhaps even consider how to incorporate such vibrancy into your own life/wardrobe/home {Christmas/ winter decor doesn't have to be limited to red and green  or icy blue and white (shocker)}.
